(May 9th, 2010) - LETTER TO 'THE KRAMPUS' CAST
Dear All,
I would like to take the time to thank everyone that came to ‘The Krampus’ casting call. You all did a fantastic job and I would like to send out my deepest thanks to all of you for coming in and displaying your talents. I hope we all can work together in the future on another production. Watching everyone display their talents during the casting sessions inspired several film concepts that could showcase all of your abilities. Please let it be known, that even though you may not have been chosen for this part. You will most likely fit another perfectly in the future. This message in particular goes out to all you first time actors and actresses. Please look at every casting session as a way to grow. Allow me to say, that I thought everyone for this particular casting we’re absolutely outstanding. I would like to take the time now however to feature the actors and actresses that will be featured in: ‘The Krampus’. Due to be screened this summer.
Scarlet Sweeney – Role “Mother”.
Scarlet has a fantastic ability. She is able; within a few minutes, to tap into the deepest part of her characters emotions, enabling her to deliver them as poetry. I have been especially impressed with her portrayal of the ‘Mother’ character in this production. She needed very little direction, and hardly any rehearsal. Scarlet is as professional as she is an impressively lovely person. I would not hesitate to cast her again.
Daphne Syrpis – Role “Jill”.
Daphne’s role as Jill in the production was her first documented account of acting with dialog in front of a camera. She astounded everyone in the crew by flawlessly portraying the lead character and acting with a prose beyond her years. I can definitely suggest Daphne to anyone looking to cast a child for their production. She has now been in two Intro Productions films and is traveling the world in our recent production of ‘The World Beyond the Wall’ short film through the Film Festival circuit. She is most definitely an up and coming actress.
Isabelle Amyes – Role “Grandmother”
Isabelle is simply awe inspiring in her role as ‘The Grandmother’. Every production I have the opportunity to see her work in; astounds and amazes. She is a true professional. We are so lucky to have had her as a member of the cast. I truly hope such an opportunity arises in the future. Thank you once again Isabelle. It would not have been the same without you.
Adrian Annis – Role “The Krampus”
Adrian really brought the character ‘The Krampus’ to life in this film by breathing believability into the myth of our story. Not only did he look great in make up; he really gave his all in making this fictional character believable. Adrian is simply fantastic to work with. His patience and attention to detail are invaluable traits that will drive him to success. We strongly hope he will be on another of our films in the future.
Kind Regards,
Jason Uzu
